There is a call for papers for a conference on Language, Culture and History at the University of Wyoming. From the conference webpage: At this conference on Language, Culture and History we would like to bring contemporary theories from all fields of anthropology and related fields to the "natural history of humans." Specifically, we want to address questions about the complex interactions between language, history and culture.
LinguistList announces: "the Athabascan/Dene Languages Conference brings together linguists, speakers, educators and policy makers from across the Athabascan region. Over the past two decades this conference has become the principal forum in which members of geographically distant, but culturally and intellectually related, Athabascan communities can compare notes and learn from each other."
